Specialists from Uzbekistan eager to work in Vitebsk Oblast

MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) –  Uzbekistan’s cooperation with Vitebsk Oblast from the point of view of human resources has been covered by Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, head of the administration of Uzbekistan’s Andijan Oblast, on the air of the Belarusian TV channel First News, BelTA has learned.

The official noted that Vitebsk Oblast occupies 40,000km2 and is home to about 1.2 million people. Meanwhile, Andijan Oblast occupies 4,000km2 and is home to about 4 million people. “This is why we have come here and created a roadmap together with my counterpart Aleksandr Nikolayevich [Rogozhnik, Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee]. Human resources are question number one,” he stressed.

The Vitebsk Oblast administration has shared a list of areas in need of specialists with colleagues from Andijan Oblast. The list includes agriculture, manufacturing sector, and civil engineering. “We’ve organized a staff in Andijan and have selected people for these specialties,” Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov noted.

In his words, as many as 255 people have already come to Vitebsk Oblast. They have been granted accommodation and all the conditions for work. “People are intent on working,” the official assured.
